The Chief Executive officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Mr. Yoofi Grant has said unless the country gives relevant attention to the agricultural sector, it will continue to record dwindling fortunes.

He said this when he addressed stakeholders and some participants at a breakfast event on investing in Agribusiness.

According to him, there is little focus on agricultural sector as a country and therefore urged Ghanaians to focus on agric in order to generate more money adding that agric could generate foreign exchange through the export of products produced in Ghana. “We have not paid relevant attention to Agric, agric tends to make more money than any other sector in the country.” He observed.

He further asked stakeholders in the sector to desist from engaging in meetings that does not provide actionable plan for the development of the sector.

Mr. Yoofi Grant further noted that rural urban migration could greatly be reduced if the right infrastructure is provided.

The event brought together some stakeholders in the agric sector and participants from various parts of the country and the world.
