The African Coconut Group and Ghana Export Promotion Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Ministry of Tourism with the support from International Coconut Ghana is set to organize a health walk to usher in the first-ever International Coconut Conference in Accra.
This walk, dubbed Coconut Festival Health Walk is to refresh the body and keep the mind sharp for the upcoming International Coconut Conference on 24th September 2019 at Accra International Conference Center.
The special health walk will commence from Ayi Mensah toll booth to Peduase Lodge on Aburi Hill on Saturday 21st September 2019.
One of the most important activities to take place at the Coconut Festival Health Walk is the launch of International Coconut Day. The International Coconut Day would be launched by the chairman of African Coconut Group, Farmer Davies Korboe and Ghana Export Promotion Authority, together with the dignitaries present. International Coconut Day would be observed globally to educate the populace on the uses and benefits of coconut across the globe.
The special occasion would feature key personalities like Farmer Davies Korboe, Chairman of African Coconut Group, Hon. Eric Kwakye Darfuor, Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. George Oduro, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in charge of tree Crops, Samuel Dantu, Deputy CEO, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, sensational hip life musician Okyeame Kwame and many more
