MADE, Ghana Commodity Exchange Seals Agreement to Support Agrihouse Pre-Harvest Conference 2019.

As the 9th Annual Pre-harvest Agribusiness Exhibition and Conference beckon in Tamale, AgriHouse Foundation, has signed an agreement with the Ghana Commodity Exchange and MADE to be sponsors of the event.

The Pre-harvest conference which will come off at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale in the Northern Region from September 25th -27th, 2019 with the theme; “Market accessibility: The Structure and Sustainable Pathway”. The conference aimed at serving as a stimulating platform for training and creating increased stakeholder linkages, exhibition and expanding opportunities for farmers and companies in the Agric value chain.

At the second edition of the meet the press in Accra, Ghana Commodity Exchange and MADE expressed their joy and mentioned the purpose for sponsoring the biggest agribusiness conference in Ghana.

Mr. Joseph Nana Yaw Asare, representing Ghana Commodity Exchange said the Pre-harvest conference will give them the opportunity to connect with farmers and other sector players in the Agric value chain so as to improve the agricultural sector in the country.

Also speaking on the reason for sponsoring the Pre-harvest event, the Country Lead for MADE, Pamela C. Bowen said MADE seeks to showcase and exhibit the benefits and impacts of MADE’s innovative models and interventions in the Agric value chains. “Made seeks to provide a platform for MADE and its partners to network and establish business relationships with the private and public sector as well as development partners”, she stated.

The 9th annual Pre-harvest conference, according to the Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Akosa, will offer key stakeholders the opportunity to further unlock the Ghanaian Agricultural marketing sector while facilitating agricultural entrepreneurship among agribusiness value chain actors including women. She expressed her gratitude to Ghana Commodity Exchange and MADE for sponsoring such momentous agribusiness conference.
