The Chief Executive Officer of Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong has urged the youth to venture into agriculture as the best economic sector at this crucial time.

There are a lot of prospects in agriculture, currently, the imminent hunger strike coupling with the Russian-Ukraine war is the best platform for an economic position for the youth to venture into active farming to produce food to mitigate hunger strike and for economic gains.

He said this during the men’s ministry week evening service on the topic: the Armor of God; Truth, Righteousness, Faithfulness, Prayer, Good Economic Management, and the Lessons on Finance & Success from King Solomon at Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) Graceland, Nungua-Accra.

He mentioned that there is a shortage of maize and other food crops in Ghana, hence, the rise in the price of kenkey and other food commodities.

The astute businessman advised the youth to be information-driven on government policies and opportunities available in the agriculture sector.

To identify some of the government’s policies that the youth can tap into in the agriculture sector, Dr. said Youth in Agriculture and YouStart programmes are some of the opportunities the youth could patronize.

He rebuked the youth for complaining that there is no job in Ghana, rather identify opportunities in every economic situation, “with today’s hardship economic condition in Ghana, this is the best time you (youth) look for opportunities to thrive”.
