Job description
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop performance, identify pest or nutrient issues, and recommend effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on crop management practices including soil fertility, irrigation, and pest control.
• Train and support farmers, distributors, and sales teams on the correct use of our products.
• Develop and implement field trials and demonstrations to showcase product performance and best practices.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify market needs and provide agronomic input for product promotion.
• Prepare detailed reports and technical presentations on field findings and research outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, greenhouse technologies, and sustainable farming methods.
• Represent the company at agricultural fairs, workshops, and farmer engagement activities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience as an Agronomist, Crop Consultant, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of plant physiology, soil chemistry, pest lifecycles, and greenhouse farming
• Solid knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, and the greenhouse industry in Ghana.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex crop production problems in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences
• A field-oriented professional, ready to engage farmers, conduct research, and travel as needed.
