Responsibilities:
Project Implementation & Coordination
• Support the day-to-day implementation of project activities under the C-Fruit project work plan.
• Coordinate with HPW field officers and local service providers to ensure smooth and timely execution of field-level interventions.
• Make the link between the C-Fruit project and the Sustainable Agriculture pillar of Swisscontact’s Umbrella Approach.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
• Conduct baseline data collection and contribute to the design and rollout of the Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) system.
• Document field-level progress, lessons learned, and success stories to inform adaptive project management.
Pilot Activities & Technical Support
• Initiate and implement pilot activities including but not limited to:
• Solar-powered irrigation systems
• Biochar production and application
• Regenerative agriculture training
• Carbon accounting and climate finance readiness
• Provide technical support to farmers and service providers during pilot implementation.
Capacity Building & Communication
• Organize field events and farmer training sessions in collaboration with project partners.
• Support the development of didactic materials and practical training content tailored to smallholders’ needs.
• Contribute to the development of communication materials for Swisscontact and the C-Fruit project.
• Assist in documenting and disseminating project outcomes for internal and external audiences.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in implementing agricultural development or climate-smart agriculture projects
• Proven experience in field coordination, farmer engagement, and training facilitation
• Familiarity with regenerative agriculture, irrigation systems, or carbon/climate- related initiatives.
• Strong capacity in data collection and analysis.
• Strong independent work ethic and commitment to high-quality delivery.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Collaborative team player in multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written or spoken); knowledge of local
• languages is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Attributes
• Experience working with private sector actors or in market systems development.
• Knowledge of Ghana’s fruit value chains and rural development context.
• Passion for sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive development.
Location: Accra
Salary: GHS 180k to GHS 230k gross, annually subject to all applicable statutory deductions in accordance with the laws of Ghana
